400 km of subsea pipeline

BarMar is the 400 km subsea pipeline project connecting Barcelona to Fos-sur-Mer, dedicated to transporting two million tonnes per year of renewable hydrogen. It is a key segment of the European H2med corridor that interconnects the Iberian Peninsula, France, and Germany. This infrastructure is set to play a major role in decarbonizing industry and helping to strengthen the European Union's energy sovereignty.

The project includes the creation of a compression station at the starting point in the port of Barcelona and an arrival station at Fos-sur-Mer. The study area for the pipeline's installation, which will be presented during the consultation is located at least ten kilometers from the French coast (excluding the landing point at Fos-sur-Mer).
